Google has removed all its bathroom mirrors from its servers, leaving users without a choice to switch them on or off, according to a blog post.

The company said it is removing them because the mirrors “have been proven to cause false positive and false negative results, and have caused false positive alerts that lead to inappropriate user actions.”

The blog post said Google is “committed to helping users avoid false positive results, so we’re removing mirrors that are not relevant or safe to use.”

The company says the mirrors have been removed because the company believes they “are potentially harmful to our users.”

The new mirrors will be turned off after the company “completes the process of evaluating the accuracy of their detection algorithms.”

Google said it will be monitoring the mirrors and their usage for “several weeks” before making any changes.
