Samsung announced today that it is releasing a new LED bulb that uses an array of different lead-based lights to light up the entire home, including the lighting in your bed, on your phone and even inside your Samsung Gear VR.
The new LED bulbs feature a wide range of colors and are designed to be compatible with Samsung’s SmartThings home automation system, according to Samsung.
The LED bulbs are designed for use in the smart home, with a wide selection of colors, according a Samsung spokesperson.
They’re also compatible with a variety of smart home devices including smart TVs, smart appliances and smart home security systems.
The LED bulbs have a lifespan of up to four years, which Samsung says is good for many home users.
The new LED devices, called LED Led Light Bulbs, come in two sizes: a 1,000 watt LED bulb for $199, and a 3,000 watts LED bulb at $399.
Each bulb can be connected to the SmartThings smart home system and will work with all smart home systems, according the spokesperson.
Samsung also said that they will be launching two more colors to match the home’s lighting preferences: green and blue.
The company says the colors can be selected from the new Samsung SmartLED Color™ and SmartLED SmartLight™ categories.
The smart bulbs can also be controlled with an app on the Samsung GearVR and SmartThings apps, which can be found on the Smart home hub in the Samsung app store.
Samsung’s announcement comes just over a month after it unveiled its first smart home bulbs at CES.
Samsung introduced a number of LED smart bulbs earlier this year, including two new LED lights for the home.
